About Our Event
The holiday season is a time when we are bombarded by a culture that insists on joy and gladness, but not everyone is experiencing those feelings. For some, this time of year brings up feelings of grief due to some kind of loss or fear because of an uncertain future or loneliness.
Blue Christmas: A Service of Light and Darkness provides people a space to acknowledge feelings of pain, confusion, grief, anger and fear. Hopefully, it also lets folks experience they are not alone and derive some comfort from that. Ultimately, it is a time we can remember God experiences all our feelings with us, nothing is too much for God to handle and God loves each and every one of us unconditionally.
