Darkness, fire, candlelight, water, bells, joy!

On this most holy night, we celebrate our transformation from darkness into light in the Resurrection of Christ, 

starting with the lighting of the Paschal (Easter) Candle, continuing with readings from the story of God’s creation and salvation. Then, we renew our Baptismal vows to set all our hearts on God asking for help to continue the faith and proclaim the Good News to the world by word and example. Finally, we will proclaim that Christ is Risen, ring our bells exuberantly, turn on all the lights, listen to an organ fanfare and once again celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Table, the Eucharistic feast of Thanksgiving; a deep, rich, moving service, possibly like nothing you’ve ever experienced. Make sure to have bells to ring at the ready!
